Ray White AT Realty's latest Game Day, the brand's big single-day auction event known around the network as "The Day", drew close to 600 bids as Auckland buyers turned out in force.
By the numbers
- 598 bids placed across the day
- Around $17.8 million in property sold
- 23 properties sold under the hammer, from 41 brought to auction
- A 56% clearance rate, with bidding called on 37 of 38 properties
- Roughly eight hours of continuous auctions
The standout came in Ōtāhuhu. A home on Church Street drew 78 bids in just 13 minutes from 17 registered bidders before it sold under the hammer.
In Glen Eden, a property taken to market on a $1 reserve attracted 35 bids and sold after only 17 days on the market. That is what a no-reserve strategy can do: it concentrates buyer competition instead of scattering it.
Across the day, vendors collectively adjusted their reserves by around $680,000 to meet the market. The strongest run of sales came between 9am and midday, when 13 properties found new owners.
